Tess was amazing! Funny, engaging, and very knowledgeable. I consider myself a very experienced person on the cooking front and I learned a lot! Thanks Tess!

Meet the Founder:

Hi, I’m Tess Middlebrook—comedian, chef, writer, and professional troublemaker.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been working at the intersection of food and comedy across the country. I’ve cooked in Michelin-starred kitchens with chefs like Wylie Dufresne and Mario Batali, created content with names like Padma Lakshmi, Post Malone, Weird Al, and Binging with Babish, and even survived competing on Chopped. I’ve also spent years in comedy—performing, writing, and producing everywhere from Comedy Central stages in LA to viral YouTube shows (including 120 episodes of Good Mythical Morning as a senior food producer). I’m a Groundlings alum, a UCB performer, and a house player at Curious Comedy Theater in Portland, OR.

Somewhere along the way, I realized my favorite thing isn’t just great food or big laughs—it’s what happens when you bring them together. That moment when people relax, connect, and actually enjoy themselves.

That’s why I created Fork & Laugh Events: to help people find their joy button through food and laughter. And yes, my wig collection still outnumbers my cooking tools. By a lot.
